I’m a thermodynamics nerd.

After getting a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Berkeley, I worked in solar thermal research. While at Otherlab, I realized that reducing HVAC emissions is a crucial part of decarbonization and combatting climate change.

I’m co-founder and CEO of Gradient, an HVAC hardware startup on a mission to build a healthier, more comfortable world for all those who inhabit it — without compromising the environment.

Gradient operates at the intersection of climate adaptation and mitigation. We make home heaters and air conditioners that are better for the environment, easier to install, and more pleasant to use.
